Skin booster injections are a soft, gel-like substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and holds incredible amounts of moisture. However, it depletes with age, which is what causes skin to appear lined or loose with a dryer texture.

Microinjections of deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid restores the moisture in the skin, which improves its elasticity, firmness and radiance.

It’s not really comparable to applying moisturiser – the injections can penetrate much deeper and last longer.

When applied using a mesotherapy technique of tiny injections, the process of delivering skin boosters also triggers the skin’s own repair and tightening mechanisms, which enhances the result.

The most common uses of skin boosters are for facial rejuvenation. However, this is a versatile treatment that can be used to treat many different skin areas e.g. neck, décolletage, backs of the hands. They can also be used on difficult to treat areas, like tightening the skin under the chin (RRS), the upper inner arms, inner thighs, knees and abdomen. What is PROFHILO?

Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity.

Profhilo® is an effective and natural looking non-surgical facelift treatment, it is a new discovery in facial ageing addressing skin laxity, not just filling lines and wrinkles. HOW DOES PROFHILO WORK

As a stabilised product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue. A skin laxity treatment, Profhilo® uses patented technologies engineered for ‘skin remodelling’, a revolutionary concept of ‘curling’ wrinkles rather than ‘filling’ them. It effectively stimulates production of both your natural collagen and elastin to renew your skin from within.

 

After a pre-treatment consultation your practitioner will apply a numbing cream to the area to make the treatment more comfortable.

The first 2ml of Profhilo™ is then injected using a technique called BAP (BIO AESTHETIC POINTS), the BAP technique is 5 entry points of injection for each side of the face. This technique, created for the lower third of the face due to its predisposition to dermal atrophy caused by the ageing phenomena: reduces the number of injection sites reduces the number of visits.

Immediately after treatment there may be some redness at the injection site and you may experience some itching or tenderness in the treated area. This will generally disappear within 24-hours.

For best results we recommend injecting 4ml of Profhilo, 2ml in the initial treatment and a further 2ml one month after the first treatment. In some cases, where the signs of ageing are more extreme, you may require up to 8ml of product spread over 4 treatments.

Increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of the skin can be visible for up to six months post-treatment, However, this does depend upon the degree of correction required, your age and lifestyle.

For best results a second treatment of 2ml is recommended one month after the first treatment. Maintenance treatments can then scheduled according to your body’s response to treatment.

Jalupro®

Jalupro HMW is an injectable skin booster which has been formulated using a specialised cocktail of amino acids.

Labelled as a ‘dermal bio-revitaliser’, Jalurpo HMW is intended to smooth skin depressions initially caused by ageing wrinkles and scars. It is a sterile and reabsorbable injectable skin-enhancing solution that can be used for the treatment of other skin defects also.

Jalupro JMW further works by feeding the connective tissue under the skin layers, otherwise known as fibroblasts. Fibroblasts produce collagen and repair skin to ensure that it always maintains elasticity and firmness.
